The Amnesty International NYC Women's Human Rights Action Team (NYCWHRAT) welcomes all who want to do activist work for women's human rights globally and at home.  Our mission is to become advocates globally and locally for the promotion of women's human rights. We work on a range of women's human rights issues that support Amnesty International's mission.

Our grassroots group began in January 2007 to support then Senator Barack Obama for President. We are now a powerful group of voters banded together for the common good, concerned with both local and national issues that affect our lives. We support the good President Obama and Obama 2012.
